The Opportunity:

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the care, development, and wellbeing of babies and young children in a stimulating and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the care, development, and wellbeing of babies and young children from 6 weeks old up to 4 years.
  • Work closely with senior practitioners to deliver a child-centred approach to learning and care.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that promotes learning and personal growth.
  • Plan and implement activities that support the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and safeguarding procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support children's learning and development.
  • Flexibly manage varied shifts to meet the operational needs of the nursery.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent), or currently working towards Level 3 with a current Level 2.
  • At least 12 months’ experience working within an early years setting.
  • A genuine passion for early childhood education and a child-centred approach to care.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts as required.

Preferred

  • Experience with working in a nursery setting that supports children from 6 weeks old to 4 years.
  • Knowledge of early years curricula and best practice in early education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Part-time contract (20 hours per week), 52 weeks per year.
