The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic Early Years team and shape the educational journey of young learners aged 3-5. This role offers the chance to work in a stimulating, play-based environment that values creativity, structure, and strong relationships with children and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence, exploration, and personal development.
  • Conduct regular observations and assessments to track student progress and inform planning.
  • Maintain open communication with parents through written reports and informal updates.
  • Collaborate with co-teachers and the Early Years team to ensure consistency and high-quality learning.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and personal development, including routines and self-care skills.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and nurturing environment at all times.
  • Participate in whole-school events, performances, and parent workshops.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor of Education (Honours) with QTS or equivalent (e.g., PGCE/i, PGDE)
  • Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in an Early Years/Nursery setting
  • Up-to-date DBS or police clearance to work with children
  • Knowledge of the UK Early Years Foundation Stage

Preferred

  • Additional Early Years-specific training or qualifications
  • Experience with Read Write Inc. phonics or similar programs
  • Experience supporting EAL learners
  • Experience with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC)
