The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Early Years Teacher to join our Pre-School team. This role offers the chance to inspire and nurture young learners in a supportive and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality education aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons across the EYFS age and ability range.
- Create a stimulating and safe learning environment that promotes the well-being and development of children.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality approach to teaching and care.
- Monitor and assess children’s progress in line with the EYFS Statutory Framework.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers to support children’s learning and development.
- Participate in the delivery of a co-curricular programme that enriches the educational experience.
- Support the school’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of work.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions to ensure continued professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS).
- Proven experience in early years education and a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and Statutory Framework.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a school setting, particularly within a co-educational environment.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Knowledge of child development and play-based learning approaches.
- Flexibility to work term time only, with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
