The Opportunity:

As an Education Business Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the school’s administrative and non-teaching functions. This is a dynamic and impactful position that directly contributes to the school’s efficiency and the well-being of students, staff, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school office to ensure a welcoming and efficient front-of-house service.
  • Manage school systems and databases, including pupil records, attendance, and safeguarding information.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Headteacher and wider school team.
  • Coordinate maintenance, health and safety checks, and resource orders.
  • Support statutory data submissions and compliance processes.
  • Act as the first point of contact for parents and carers, ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Organise school meetings and events, including agendas and minute-taking.
  • Support with HR administration, admissions, and financial compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong administrative experience, ideally in education, social care, or a regulatory setting.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Highly organised, with outstanding attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Discreet, professional, and committed to confidentiality.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with compliance processes, audits, or data reporting.
  • Experience with school operations or similar administrative roles.
  • A child-centred outlook, aligned with the REACH ethos.
