Key Responsibilities:

• Teach allocated students up to and including GCSE, with opportunities for KS5 depending on experience
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote progression and achievement
• Apply effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
• Support individual learning needs through targeted interventions and personalized strategies
• Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching standards
• Participate in curriculum development and school-wide initiatives
• Uphold the school’s values and contribute to a culture of high expectations and inclusion

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Proven experience in teaching English at relevant levels
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
• Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Preferred

• Experience with KS5 teaching or curriculum development
• Background in extra-curricular activities or student leadership
• Familiarity with the Sigma Trust or similar educational organizations
• Experience with innovative teaching methods or technology integration
