The Opportunity:
As an English Language Arts Teacher Upper Primary, you will play a key role in shaping young learners’ language and literacy skills. You will collaborate with colleagues to deliver engaging, interdisciplinary lessons and foster a culture of intellectual curiosity and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver rigorous, subject-specific lessons in English Language Arts.
- Collaborate with Learning Enhancement Teachers to ensure individual student understanding and success.
- Develop and implement interdisciplinary lessons that integrate drama, history, and other subjects.
- Foster strong, positive relationships with students to support their academic and personal growth.
- Guide students in developing writing, reading, and critical thinking skills.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in education.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative school community.
- Support students in achieving academic excellence and personal responsibility.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in English Language Arts or related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a lead classroom teacher.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to academic rigor and student success.
Preferred
- Experience with bilingual or international curricula.
- Background in teaching drama or history.
- Experience with curriculum development and interdisciplinary teaching.
- Fluency in Mandarin or other languages.
