The Opportunity:

As an English Language Arts Teacher Upper Primary, you will play a key role in shaping young learners’ language and literacy skills. You will collaborate with colleagues to deliver engaging, interdisciplinary lessons and foster a culture of intellectual curiosity and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver rigorous, subject-specific lessons in English Language Arts.
  • Collaborate with Learning Enhancement Teachers to ensure individual student understanding and success.
  • Develop and implement interdisciplinary lessons that integrate drama, history, and other subjects.
  • Foster strong, positive relationships with students to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Guide students in developing writing, reading, and critical thinking skills.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in education.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative school community.
  • Support students in achieving academic excellence and personal responsibility.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in English Language Arts or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a lead classroom teacher.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to academic rigor and student success.

Preferred

  • Experience with bilingual or international curricula.
  • Background in teaching drama or history.
  • Experience with curriculum development and interdisciplinary teaching.
  • Fluency in Mandarin or other languages.
