The Opportunity:

As a Speech and Debate Teacher, you will play a key role in developing students’ public speaking, critical thinking, and competitive forensics skills. This is a chance to shape young minds and contribute to a high-achieving, globally recognized academic program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a competitive Speech and Debate program for Grades 7 to 12.
  • Prepare students for regional and international tournaments across debate, limited preparation, and public speaking.
  • Oversee tournament logistics, including registration, travel arrangements, and online event coordination.
  • Deliver high-level subject instruction that exceeds grade standards and ensures exceptional student outcomes.
  • Foster strong, personalized relationships with students to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Participate in professional development and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative school community and culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in the subject area.
  • At least two years of experience as a lead classroom teacher.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to academic rigor and student success.

Preferred

  • Experience in Speech and Debate instruction or competitive forensics.
  • Background in teaching students in Grades 7 to 12.
  • Experience with international curriculum standards or bilingual education.
