Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to Secondary School students, aligned with IGCSE and IB curricula.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that promote student achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular initiatives and professional development.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect and learning.
  • Participate in school-wide events and contribute to the school’s mission and values.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to enhance student learning and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A first degree and a teaching certificate (PGCE or equivalent).
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching IGCSE and IB courses.
  • Experience in teaching IB Theory of Knowledge.
  • Familiarity with international education standards and curricula.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire colleagues.
