The Opportunity:

As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering the English National Curriculum and supporting student achievement. You will be part of a dedicated team focused on raising standards and ensuring all students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the English National Curriculum and GCSE.
  • Create a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes student achievement.
  • Identify and support students with special educational needs, EAL learners, and gifted and talented students.
  • Use assessment data to inform planning and differentiate teaching to meet individual needs.
  • Maintain discipline and encourage good behavior in accordance with the school’s policies.
  • Regularly mark students’ work and set clear targets for improvement.
  • Prepare and present informative reports to parents and attend parent/student events.
  • Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and support departmental initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external professionals such as speech and language therapists and educational psychologists.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an English Teacher within the English Curriculum.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching students for whom English is not their first language.
  • Experience working in multiple international schools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
