Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver outstanding teaching and learning in line with the school's Teaching and Learning Policy.
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment that supports all students, including those with special educational needs, EAL learners, and gifted and talented students.
• Set clear learning objectives and targets based on prior attainment and student progress.
• Use performance data and key indicators to inform planning and ensure differentiated instruction.
• Implement effective assessment for learning strategies to monitor and improve student progress.
• Maintain discipline and encourage good behavior in accordance with the school’s Behaviour for Learning Policy.
• Prepare and present informative reports to parents and support parent/student events.
• Participate in curriculum development by producing, reviewing, and updating teaching resources and schemes of work.
• Collaborate with other professionals, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education or a related field with a mandatory post-teaching qualification (PGCE or similar).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching the England National Curriculum in a primary setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work with EAL students and provide differentiated instruction.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially when working with parents in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
• Commitment to the well-being and development of children.

Preferred

• Experience in extra-curricular activities and leadership roles.
• Proficiency in IT and online technologies to support 21st-century teaching.
• Recent involvement in professional development and training opportunities.
• A positive and solution-focused attitude to work and a passion for teaching.
