As an EYFS Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young learners’ early educational experiences. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that support the school’s mission of excellence in education. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver outstanding teaching and learning in line with the school's Teaching and Learning Policy.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment that supports all students, including those with special educational needs, EAL learners, and gifted and talented students.
- Set clear learning objectives and targets based on prior attainment and student progress.
- Use performance data and key indicators to inform planning and ensure differentiated instruction.
- Implement effective assessment for learning strategies to monitor and improve student progress.
- Maintain discipline and encourage good behavior in accordance with the school’s Behaviour for Learning Policy.
- Prepare and present informative reports to parents and support parent/student events.
- Participate in curriculum development by producing, reviewing, and updating teaching resources and schemes of work.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education or a related field with a mandatory post-teaching qualification (PGCE or similar).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching the England National Curriculum in a primary setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work with EAL students and provide differentiated instruction.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially when working with parents in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
- Commitment to the well-being and development of children.
Preferred
- Experience in extra-curricular activities and leadership roles.
- Proficiency in IT and online technologies to support 21st-century teaching.
- Recent involvement in professional development and training opportunities.
- A positive and solution-focused attitude to work and a passion for teaching.
