The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspiring English Teacher to join our dedicated department and support students in developing their academic and personal skills. This role offers the chance to work in a welcoming, professional environment and make a meaningful impact on young people’s futures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach KS3 and GCSE English to a range of students.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students to reach their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Unity Schools Partnership to share best practices and support professional development.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the English curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students.
  • Support student enrichment and ‘whole-child’ development through extra-curricular and pastoral activities.
  • Participate in meetings, training, and staff development opportunities to maintain and improve teaching standards.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Uphold the school’s values of compassion, respect, and integrity in all interactions with students and colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum at KS3 and GCSE levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students in learning.
  • Commitment to student welfare and whole-child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience of working within a Multi-Academy Trust or similar partnership.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
  • Experience in delivering enrichment activities or extra-curricular programs.
  • Familiarity with the Unity Schools Partnership and its values.
  • Experience in leadership or mentoring roles within a school setting.
