The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach KS3 and GCSE English to a range of students.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students to reach their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Unity Schools Partnership to share best practices and support professional development.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the English curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students.
- Support student enrichment and ‘whole-child’ development through extra-curricular and pastoral activities.
- Participate in meetings, training, and staff development opportunities to maintain and improve teaching standards.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Uphold the school’s values of compassion, respect, and integrity in all interactions with students and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum at KS3 and GCSE levels.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students in learning.
- Commitment to student welfare and whole-child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience of working within a Multi-Academy Trust or similar partnership.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
- Experience in delivering enrichment activities or extra-curricular programs.
- Familiarity with the Unity Schools Partnership and its values.
- Experience in leadership or mentoring roles within a school setting.
