The Opportunity:

We are seeking an English Teacher to join a dynamic and well-resourced program at a school in Hangzhou. This role offers the opportunity to teach motivated, high-achieving students preparing for university overseas, while working in a supportive and international team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver IGCSE ESL, combined ESL and Literature, and A-level Global Perspectives courses
  • Support students in achieving strong academic outcomes through challenging and engaging instruction
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced educators to develop and enhance the curriculum
  • Maintain a well-organized classroom environment and provide individualized support to students
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing training opportunities
  • Engage in school events and extracurricular activities that enhance student learning
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality teaching experience

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the high school or A-level level
  • Confident in teaching English to high-achieving students
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and international environment

Preferred

  • Experience with IGCSE or A-level curricula
  • Familiarity with international education standards and practices
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
  • Fluency in a second language
  • Experience in curriculum development or program management
