The Opportunity:

As an Estates Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of the school's estate, services, and facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring a high standard of service and health and safety across the school site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the maintenance and upkeep of the school’s estate, services, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all facilities and infrastructure across the school.
  • Work closely with the Bursar to support the smooth running of the school.
  • Implement and maintain best practices in facility management and health and safety.
  • Oversee and coordinate maintenance schedules and service contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor the condition of the school's buildings and facilities to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Liaise with external contractors and service providers as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in estates management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate maintenance and service operations.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting is desirable.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with large-scale facilities or infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with building management systems and software.
  • Knowledge of construction and building maintenance processes.
  • Experience in a music or performing arts institution.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary of £45,000.
