The Opportunity:
As an Estates Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of the school's estate, services, and facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring a high standard of service and health and safety across the school site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the maintenance and upkeep of the school’s estate, services, and infrastructure.
- Ensure the safe operation of all facilities and infrastructure across the school.
- Work closely with the Bursar to support the smooth running of the school.
- Implement and maintain best practices in facility management and health and safety.
- Oversee and coordinate maintenance schedules and service contracts.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Monitor the condition of the school's buildings and facilities to ensure they meet required standards.
- Liaise with external contractors and service providers as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in estates management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to manage and coordinate maintenance and service operations.
- Experience in a school or educational setting is desirable.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with large-scale facilities or infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with building management systems and software.
- Knowledge of construction and building maintenance processes.
- Experience in a music or performing arts institution.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Annual salary of £45,000.
- Generous pension scheme with employer contribution of 13.5%.
