The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a welcoming and collaborative department. This role offers the chance to teach across key stages and make a meaningful impact on students' learning journeys. The successful candidate will contribute to both academic and co-curricular life, supported by modern facilities and a strong team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Science to KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5 students
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that support learners of all abilities
- Contribute to the academic and pastoral life of the school
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and Science technicians
- Participate in co-curricular activities and school events
- Support the development of students' scientific knowledge and skills
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and curriculum
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge
- Experience teaching Science at key stages 3, 4, and 5 (desirable)
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities
- Commitment to the school’s ethos and values
Preferred
- Experience working with Early Career Teachers
- Experience in a co-educational environment
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Familiarity with modern Science teaching methods and resources
