The Opportunity:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and fair conduct of examinations at a school that values integrity and excellence. This is a vital position that supports the academic success of students and upholds the standards of the school and trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee examination sessions in accordance with JCQ regulations.
- Support Lead Invigilators in the conduct of examinations and ensure all procedures are followed.
- Assist with the production of seating plans and the checking of exam packs.
- Sort and return scripts to the Exams Officer in a timely and accurate manner.
- Liaise with Support Invigilators to ensure examinations start on time and any issues are promptly reported.
- Undertake invigilation duties at short notice when required.
- Act as a scribe or reader when assigned, and be paid at the Lead Invigilator rate for that role.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in exam invigilation or a similar role.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to examination regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of organisation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to working during key exam periods, including January, May and June.
Preferred
- Previous experience working in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of JCQ regulations and examination procedures.
- Experience in administrative tasks related to examinations.
- Flexibility to work at short notice when required.
