Engineering/Design Technology Teacher needed to support innovative curriculum delivery.

The Opportunity:

As an Engineering/Design Technology Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education in Engineering, Product Design, and Systems & Control. You will contribute to the development of a centre of excellence and support students in gaining qualifications that prepare them for future careers in engineering and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in Engineering, Product Design, and Systems & Control.
  • Support the development of a centre of excellence in Engineering & Manufacturing and Health & Life Sciences.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners to enhance curriculum delivery.
  • Manage a range of qualifications including Cambridge Nationals, BTEC Level 3, and T Levels.
  • Provide effective feedback and support to students to ensure their academic and personal development.
  • Participate in the planning and review of the curriculum and assessment strategies.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments to ensure teaching remains relevant and current.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Engineering, Product Design, or related subjects.
  • Experience in delivering qualifications at KS4 and Post-16 levels.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with external partners.

Preferred

  • Experience in a UTC or similar employer-led education environment.
  • Experience with Cambridge Nationals or BTEC qualifications.
  • Newly qualified teachers with the potential to develop within a supportive environment.
  • Experience with T Level qualifications or equivalent.
