Examination Officer Assistant needed to support exam administration and ensure smooth operations.

The Opportunity:

As an Examination Officer Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the administration of internal and external examinations. You will ensure that all exams are conducted in accordance with awarding body regulations and contribute to the quality of education provided to students. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and exam processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keep up to date with changes to exam regulations and guidance from awarding bodies.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining examination policies and procedures.
  • Help create and manage invigilation timetables and seating plans.
  • Resolve examination clashes and ensure exam rooms are set up and ready.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and record-keeping of invigilators.
  • Work with the SENCO to ensure appropriate support for students with special needs.
  • Coordinate the submission of coursework and manage script requests after results.
  • Prepare for inspections and maintain accurate records of examination costs and processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working as an Exams Officer or in a similar role within a school environment.
  • Up to date knowledge of exam regulations and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent ICT skills, including the use of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Confident and calm under pressure with a warm and welcoming manner.

Preferred

  • Experience with ISAMS or similar management information systems.
  • Knowledge of JCQ, Cambridge Assessment English, and other awarding bodies.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the Exams Office and the school.
