The Opportunity:
As an Exams Officer, you will play a vital role in managing all aspects of examinations, ensuring compliance with national regulations and supporting the school in raising standards through accurate data management and pupil tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the administrative and operational aspects of examinations in line with JCQ regulations.
- Coordinate the entry of students into examinations using the MIS system.
- Liaise with examination boards and manage the timetabling of invigilators.
- Train and supervise invigilators to ensure smooth examination processes.
- Oversee the security, distribution, and collection of examination papers and results.
- Coordinate the student census and use pupil tracking systems to monitor progress.
- Analyse assessment data and produce reports for departmental managers and SLT.
- Provide students’ assessment data to parents in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Experience with statistical analysis, management information, and data collection.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred
- Experience with educational management information systems such as SIMS.
- Previous experience in managing examinations or similar administrative roles.
