Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to students aged 11–16, aligned with GCSE standards.
  • Develop and implement engaging, practical teaching strategies that foster creativity and critical thinking.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and contribute to the leadership programme.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and innovations in Food Technology.
  • Support students in developing skills that prepare them for further education and future careers.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives that promote student leadership and character development.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience of teaching to GCSE standard.
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding attainment and achievement.
  • Experience of innovation and creativity in engaging learners.

Preferred

  • Experience in a leadership or character development programme.
  • Knowledge of Food Technology industry trends and practices.
  • Experience working in a disadvantaged community or similar setting.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
