Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality PE lessons that engage and motivate students.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and achievement.
- Develop and implement schemes of work that align with the school’s curriculum and leadership goals.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the school’s leadership and character development programme.
- Encourage and promote healthy lifestyles and physical activity both inside and outside the classroom.
- Participate in staff development and training to enhance teaching practice and professional growth.
- Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience of teaching to GCSE standard.
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding attainment and achievement in PE.
- Demonstrated experience of innovation and creativity in teaching.
Preferred
- Experience of working in a school with a leadership specialism.
- Experience of working with disadvantaged students or in a multi-academy trust.
- Experience of leading or contributing to extracurricular sports or physical activities.
