Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons that are engaging and aligned with the school’s curriculum.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized and inclusive teaching.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular and enrichment activities related to Geography.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities Faculty to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the school’s ECT and CPD programme.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Geography.
  • Experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4, with an interest in A Level Geography.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and across the school community.

Preferred

  • Experience with the use of technology in the classroom.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Previous experience in a school with a strong focus on extracurricular activities.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
