Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Geography lessons that are engaging and aligned with the school’s curriculum.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized and inclusive teaching.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular and enrichment activities related to Geography.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities Faculty to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching and learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the school’s ECT and CPD programme.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Geography.
- Experience in teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4, with an interest in A Level Geography.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and across the school community.
Preferred
- Experience with the use of technology in the classroom.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Previous experience in a school with a strong focus on extracurricular activities.
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
