The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons tailored to the needs of girls.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sports programme that supports student participation and achievement.
  • Coordinate and supervise extracurricular sports activities, including after-school clubs and competitions.
  • Work collaboratively with other PE specialists and support staff to enhance the school’s sporting reputation.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive environment that encourages physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in PE, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and reports on student performance and participation.
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Girls PE.
  • Strong knowledge of physical education and sports curriculum.
  • Experience in delivering PE lessons to secondary school students.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage a range of sporting activities.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusivity and student well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience in coaching or leading sports teams.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of sports and physical activities.
  • Previous experience in a school setting with a strong focus on PE and sports.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
