The Opportunity:

As a Hair and Beauty Teacher, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons that support learners in developing essential industry skills. This role is ideal for those passionate about education and looking to gain hands-on teaching experience while progressing towards a Level 5 teaching qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver practical and theory-based sessions in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, and Barbering.
  • Build positive, consistent relationships with learners to support their development.
  • Demonstrate safe and professional salon practices aligned with industry standards.
  • Support learners in completing assessments and providing feedback under supervision.
  • Accurately record learner progress using internal systems and trackers.
  • Assist learners in developing practical skills and meeting BTEC requirements.
  • Provide hands-on coaching in core techniques such as shampooing, blow-drying, and basic barbering.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, and/or Barbering.
  • A Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Recent, relevant industry experience with strong practical skills.
  • Willingness to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or mentoring within an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of BTEC qualifications and assessment practices.
  • Experience with vocational training or special needs education.
