Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs through individualized learning and care plans.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure consistent and effective support for students.
- Deliver targeted interventions and activities that promote emotional well-being, social skills, and academic progress.
- Assist in the development and implementation of personalized curriculum plans tailored to student needs.
- Provide guidance and support to students in both academic and life skills development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve student outcomes.
- Attend professional development sessions and contribute to team meetings and planning.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents and carers.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a special educational needs setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations.
- Commitment to supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
- A positive, patient, and caring attitude.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a learning support or pastoral care role.
- Knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and best practice in supporting students with SEMH needs.
- Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
- Familiarity with educational frameworks and support strategies for vulnerable students.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: £19,954 - £23,438 per annum.
