The Opportunity:

The Head of Admissions will lead and manage the full admissions process, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for all prospective families. This role is pivotal in shaping the school’s recruitment strategy and enhancing its global reach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full admissions process, from initial enquiry to enrolment
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies for UK and international markets
  • Oversee data management and ensure compliance with safeguarding and data protection standards
  • Coordinate scholarship and bursary processes with academic departments
  • Organise and lead Open Days, visits, and recruitment events
  • Build and maintain relationships with feeder schools and international partners
  • Ensure all admissions communications and materials are accurate and engaging
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform recruitment strategy

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Significant experience in admissions, recruitment, or a related role within education
  • Proven ability to manage the full admissions process
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using admissions databases/CRM systems (e.g. iSAMS)
  • Understanding of safeguarding, GDPR, and data protection requirements
  • Ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

Preferred

  • Experience in the independent school sector
  • Experience of international admissions and knowledge of UKVI requirements
  • Experience of line management
  • Knowledge of market trends in independent education
