Head of Science Faculty required for August 2026 at a leading British curriculum school.

The Opportunity:

As Head of Science Faculty, you will lead and inspire the Science department, driving academic excellence and student growth. This role is ideal for a visionary educator who is passionate about shaping the future of science education and supporting student development across all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Science Faculty, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Support and mentor science teachers to enhance professional growth and teaching quality.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress using data to inform teaching and learning strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote cross-curricular learning and student engagement.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports the wellbeing of all students.
  • Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme and pastoral care initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with school-wide objectives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good honours degree and relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or PGCE).
  • Minimum of two years’ teaching experience, preferably in a British curriculum school.
  • Proven ability to teach Science through to A level, with experience in KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and pastoral care.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a senior leadership or faculty leadership role.
  • Familiarity with the International Schools Partnership (ISP).
  • Experience with safeguarding and student welfare procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of STEAM and innovative teaching practices.
