Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Geography department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
• Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging Geography curriculum up to A-Level.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support to ensure outstanding results.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the enriched curriculum programme.
• Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and global awareness within the department.
• Support the school’s mission by inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential.
• Work closely with the leadership team to enhance the academic and pastoral experience for all students.
• Ensure the department maintains its outstanding record of academic achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A B.Ed. or equivalent degree with a PGCE / PGDE or equivalent, and exceptional subject knowledge in Geography.
• At least 3 years’ experience of the National Curriculum for England.
• Proven experience teaching Geography up to A-Level.
• A track record of outstanding teaching and learning.
• A commitment to the belief that all students can achieve top performance.
• Experience contributing to an enriched curriculum programme.

Preferred

• Experience in leading a department or team.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Experience in international education settings.
• Familiarity with the British education system and its standards.
