The Opportunity:

As the Head of Secondary, you will play a vital role in leading and managing the secondary section of the school, ensuring academic excellence and a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the secondary section in collaboration with the Executive Principal.
  • Oversee the deployment of teachers and their responsibilities, ensuring effective teaching and learning.
  • Lead and manage disciplinary matters involving students, both within and outside the school.
  • Maintain strong communication and relationships with parents and the wider school community.
  • Monitor and ensure student and staff attendance, registers, and daily administrative tasks.
  • Lead regular meetings with the secondary section of the school to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and lead schoolwide professional development and curriculum planning efforts.
  • Manage external authorisation, accreditation, and quality assurance processes such as IPC and CIS.
  • Develop and implement strategic communications with parents through various platforms and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
  • Teaching qualification such as PGCE or equivalent, or higher degree (MA/MS/MBA).
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in teaching and school management.

Preferred

  • Experience with international curricula such as Cambridge IGCSE, IPC, or IB.
  • Strong background in curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Experience in school leadership and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and build collaborative learning communities.
