The Opportunity:

The Head of Senior School will lead a dynamic and ambitious team, driving academic and pastoral success for students aged 11–18. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of a new school, with a focus on fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Senior School phase (ages 11–18) to ensure high academic and pastoral standards.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to support the strategic growth and development of the school.
  • Foster a strong school culture that promotes student engagement, inclusivity, and excellence.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies aligned with the school’s vision and curriculum.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to support a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Oversee the pastoral care and wellbeing of students, ensuring a holistic approach to education.
  • Promote the school’s values and mission through leadership and professional development initiatives.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the Senior School, including curriculum delivery, assessment, and student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior educational role, preferably within an international school setting.
  • Strong track record in academic leadership and school management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the British curriculum and international education standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student development, both academically and personally.
  • Experience in strategic planning and school growth initiatives.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a new or expanding school.
  • Familiarity with IGCSE and A Level qualifications.
  • Background in pastoral care and student wellbeing.
  • Experience in co-curricular programme development.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
