The Opportunity:

As a Health Centre Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of students and staff. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care and work collaboratively with the School Health Centre team to ensure the health needs of the school community are met effectively and compassionately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to students and staff.
  • Collaborate with the School Health Centre team to support the health and wellbeing of the school community.
  • Deliver first aid and healthcare services in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure safe clinical decision-making and adherence to best practices in school nursing.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment.
  • Support the implementation of health education programs for students and staff.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of the Health Centre.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Experience in school nursing, practice nursing, A&E, pediatrics, or urgent care.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering first aid and healthcare services in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of health and wellbeing programs for students and staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a high-pressure environment.
