Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning by assisting with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement strategies that meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualifications in education or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of inclusivity, care, and student success.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with students with additional needs.
  • Familiarity with curriculum planning and assessment practices.
  • Experience in supporting students’ emotional and social development.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
