The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Department in curriculum development and delivery.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to teaching staff within the department.
  • Promote a student-centered approach to teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the student experience and raise academic standards.
  • Ensure the effective use of resources and facilities within the department.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Design Technology and Art.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching experience in Design Technology and Art.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Familiarity with current educational trends and best practices.

Preferred

  • Experience in a senior leadership or second-in-charge role.
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and assessment strategies.
