The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified History and Geography Teacher to join our dynamic team at the lower and upper secondary levels. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality History and Geography lessons to lower and upper secondary students using innovative teaching strategies.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work aligned with IGCSE and A-Level learning objectives.
  • Support curriculum development and the teaching of contemporary global issues.
  • Engage bilingual students through rigorous planning and interactive teaching methods.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
  • Organise educational trips and lead extracurricular activities such as debate clubs and student-led projects.
  • Promote student achievement, well-being, and academic progress through dedicated support and guidance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Valid working papers in France or the right to work legally in the EU.
  • A good degree in History and/or Geography and a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of IGCSE and/or A-Level History and Geography curricula.
  • Proven experience in teaching History and Geography at the secondary level.

Preferred

  • Experience in organising educational trips and running extracurricular activities.
  • Fluency in French and the ability to work within a bilingual educational framework.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to school strategic goals.
