The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary French and Spanish Teacher to join a dynamic team. This role involves teaching French, FAL, history, geography, and potentially Spanish. The successful candidate will contribute to a bilingual education of excellence and help students achieve fluency in both French and English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach French and Spanish at secondary level, including IGCSE and A level qualifications.
  • Deliver FAL courses tailored to students requiring additional language support.
  • Teach history and geography in French to develop cultural understanding.
  • Support curriculum enrichment and after-school programmes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality teaching approach.
  • Contribute to the development of the school’s bilingual curriculum.
  • Engage in professional development and staff meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments for student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Native-level French speaker with a strong command of English.
  • Minimum of five years’ relevant teaching experience.
  • Qualified teacher status and a good honours degree.
  • Experience with international curricula such as IGCSE and A level.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in a multicultural environment.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Spanish at secondary level.
  • Familiarity with French national qualifications such as the brevet.
  • Experience with curriculum development and enrichment activities.
  • Knowledge of French history and geography.
