Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across the full age and ability range up to GCSE.

  • Support the department’s collaborative ethos by sharing best practices and contributing to team planning.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
  • Work effectively with colleagues and contribute to the continuous improvement of the History and Politics curriculum.
  • Be prepared to teach additional subjects such as RE, English, Sociology, and Politics if required.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events as appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in History.
  • Experience teaching up to GCSE level.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching additional subjects such as RE, English, Sociology, or Politics.
