Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in IB Global Politics, IB History, and IB Economics.
  • Collaborate with teaching teams to develop and implement effective instructional strategies.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents through the Continuous Reporting system.
  • Use data to monitor student progress and refine teaching practices.
  • Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Support the development of a culture of high expectations and academic achievement.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into the classroom.
  • Contribute to the broader learning community through professional development and collaboration.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
  • Rights to work in Australia.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IB Global Politics, IB History, and IB Economics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities.
  • Commitment to student learning and wellbeing.
  • Ability to use data to improve student outcomes.
  • Adherence to child safety standards and school policies.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Year 7-10 Commerce or Humanities.
  • Experience with evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
  • Experience in a co-ed or diverse learning environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills.
