The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate IB History Teacher to join our dedicated teaching team. This role offers the opportunity to shape student learning through engaging lessons and evidence-based teaching practices. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students to achieve their full potential in a dynamic and supportive academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in IB History, Global Politics, and Economics.
- Collaborate with teaching colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Provide regular feedback to students and parents through the Continuous Reporting system.
- Use data to monitor student progress and refine instructional approaches.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Support the development of a culture of high expectations and academic excellence.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
- Right to work in Australia.
- Demonstrated expertise in IB History, Global Politics, or Economics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student learning and wellbeing.
- Ability to use data to improve teaching and student outcomes.
- Proficiency in using technology in the classroom.
- Adherence to all school policies and Child Safe Standards.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Year 7–10 Commerce or Humanities.
- Experience with IB curriculum delivery.
- Experience in a co-ed or independent school setting.
- Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.
