The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate IB History Teacher to join our dedicated teaching team. This role offers the opportunity to shape student learning through engaging lessons and evidence-based teaching practices. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students to achieve their full potential in a dynamic and supportive academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in IB History, Global Politics, and Economics.
  • Collaborate with teaching colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents through the Continuous Reporting system.
  • Use data to monitor student progress and refine instructional approaches.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Support the development of a culture of high expectations and academic excellence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IB History, Global Politics, or Economics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student learning and wellbeing.
  • Ability to use data to improve teaching and student outcomes.
  • Proficiency in using technology in the classroom.
  • Adherence to all school policies and Child Safe Standards.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Year 7–10 Commerce or Humanities.
  • Experience with IB curriculum delivery.
  • Experience in a co-ed or independent school setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience.
