The Opportunity:
As an IBDP Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in leading and supporting the IB Diploma Programme within a school setting. You will contribute to the development and delivery of a world-class curriculum, ensuring outstanding teaching and learning outcomes across the school. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the implementation of the IBDP curriculum across the school.
- Support and mentor teachers in delivering high-quality, IB-aligned instruction.
- Lead the IB programme evaluation cycle, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance with IB standards.
- Collaborate with the pedagogical leadership team to maintain and enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
- Develop and monitor student progress, ensuring alignment with IB learner profile attributes.
- Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff involved in the IBDP programme.
- Manage communication with parents, students, and external IB stakeholders.
- Ensure the school maintains a strong, cohesive approach to the IBDP across all departments.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as an IBDP Coordinator or in a similar leadership role within an international school.
- In-depth knowledge of the IBDP curriculum and its implementation in a school setting.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international environment.
- Commitment to the values and philosophy of the IB programme.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in teaching or coordinating within the IBDP framework.
Preferred
- Experience teaching subjects in Group 1 or Group 3 of the IBDP.
- Familiarity with international curricula and assessment practices.
- Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and programme performance.
- Experience in professional development and teacher training.
- Fluency in additional languages, particularly Portuguese or Spanish.
