The Opportunity:

As an Islamic Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging lessons on Islam to Middle School students. You will contribute to the school's mission by promoting understanding, respect, and appreciation of Islamic teachings within a diverse and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive and engaging lessons on Islamic principles, history, and culture to Middle School students
  • Design and implement lesson plans that align with the United States curriculum and meet diverse student needs
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect and cultural awareness
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school's educational goals and values
  • Promote moral development and academic growth through interactive and meaningful teaching practices
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
  • Manage classroom activities with a focus on student engagement and learning outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Islamic Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of teaching experience, preferably in an international or American curriculum setting
  • Strong knowledge of Islamic principles, history, and culture relevant to middle school students
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to create and deliver lesson plans that meet curriculum standards

Preferred

  • Proficiency in Arabic
  • Experience teaching Religion or Social Studies
  • Classroom management experience with diverse student populations
  • Passion for nurturing moral development and cultural awareness
