IT Teacher role at a specialist school in Worcester and Tewkesbury.

The Opportunity:

As an IT Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the digital future of students with complex needs. You will deliver engaging IT lessons across multiple qualifications, from Entry Level 1 to GCSE, and help students build essential digital skills and confidence. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver IT curriculum across Entry Level 1, BTEC, and GCSE qualifications
  • Create engaging Programmes of Work and Schemes of Study tailored to diverse learning needs
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular updates to senior management
  • Coordinate assessments and qualification entries with the Examinations Officer
  • Support the Acting Head of School with operational and administrative tasks
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance learning and wellbeing
  • Stay up to date with developments in IT education and SEMH teaching strategies

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in IT or a related subject
  • Experience teaching BTEC and GCSE IT qualifications
  • At least 2 years’ recent experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
  • Ability to adapt teaching to different learning styles and abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire learners
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and student wellbeing

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership
  • Familiarity with digital media and SEMH teaching strategies
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technology integration
