The Opportunity:

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will contribute to a safe and efficient kitchen environment, supporting both the culinary team and students’ learning. This role is ideal for someone passionate about food safety, teamwork, and making a positive impact in a supportive and inclusive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and related areas.
  • Support food preparation and presentation in line with operational needs.
  • Ensure an organised and orderly environment, including stock storage and readiness for service.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to deliver effective and safe service.
  • Assist in guiding and modelling good kitchen practices for learners under supervision.
  • Be flexible and responsive to the operational demands of the school and hotel.
  • Uphold food safety and health & safety standards at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working in a kitchen or hospitality environment.
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and food handling procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to complete one.
  • Experience in training or supporting learners in a kitchen setting.
