The Opportunity:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will contribute to a safe and efficient kitchen environment, supporting both the culinary team and students’ learning. This role is ideal for someone passionate about food safety, teamwork, and making a positive impact in a supportive and inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and related areas.
- Support food preparation and presentation in line with operational needs.
- Ensure an organised and orderly environment, including stock storage and readiness for service.
- Collaborate with the wider team to deliver effective and safe service.
- Assist in guiding and modelling good kitchen practices for learners under supervision.
- Be flexible and responsive to the operational demands of the school and hotel.
- Uphold food safety and health & safety standards at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working in a kitchen or hospitality environment.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and food handling procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to complete one.
- Experience in training or supporting learners in a kitchen setting.
