The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in helping students reach their full potential through vocational training and support within the hotel business. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students during vocational training sessions and assist the hotel team in delivering high-quality service.
  • Encourage and challenge students to reach their full potential and develop independence.
  • Manage student behavior effectively and seek guidance when necessary.
  • Work closely with tutors to ensure student progress is recorded, evidenced, and evaluated.
  • Create engaging and supportive learning resources to aid student development.
  • Uphold the confidentiality, dignity, and equality of all students at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 2 in English and Maths
  • Level 3 qualification in education or willingness to complete one
  • Experience in a similar role or willingness to receive training
  • Experience in the care or education industry

Preferred

  • Understanding of working with people with learning disabilities
  • Experience in a specialist educational setting
