The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher - Early Years Foundation Stage to join a dynamic and supportive team. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the early years of young learners and shape their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, ensuring it meets the highest standards.
  • Support and mentor teaching staff within the EYFS department to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources tailored to the needs of young learners.
  • Work closely with parents and the wider school community to promote student development and engagement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a consistent and positive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff training, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Ensure all activities and practices align with the school’s values and Ofsted standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Early Years Foundation Stage education.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a proven ability to mentor and support staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a teaching team or department within a primary school setting.
  • Experience with teaching in a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation.
  • Familiarity with the latest early years teaching methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with inclusive education and supporting children with additional needs.
