The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned art lessons tailored to the needs of Lower Elementary students.
  • Plan and prepare resources that support diverse learning styles and student abilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, lesson plans, and teaching materials.
  • Promote the use of technology and media to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Support student well-being and provide guidance on educational and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching materials and co-curricular activities.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and keep them informed of student progress and achievements.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events.
  • Uphold the school’s policies, values, and code of conduct at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A B.Ed or Bachelor’s degree in Early Years Education or a related field, or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in a relevant subject area or age group.
  • Strong subject knowledge in art and a commitment to teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with the use of ICT in education.

Preferred

  • Experience working with ESL students or in an international school setting.
  • Background in co-curricular or extra-curricular program development.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in mentoring or leading initiatives.
