The Opportunity:

As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students during lunchtime. This is an essential position that supports a positive learning environment and contributes to the overall success of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise pupils during lunchtime across the dining room, playground, and academy premises.
  • Ensure the safety, behaviour, and wellbeing of students at all times.
  • Support the smooth running of lunchtime activities and routines.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and students to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
  • Assist with the management of any incidents or concerns that arise during the lunch period.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to support the school’s mission and values.
  • Follow all school policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Flexibility to work term-time only and part-time hours.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or pastoral role within education.
  • Knowledge of child behaviour management strategies.
  • Experience working in a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Understanding of SEND needs and how to support students with additional requirements.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
