Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, innovative, and engaging maths lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that raise the achievement of all learners.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high standard of teaching across the department.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualized and differentiated instruction.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly to inform teaching and learning.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and academic excellence.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in maths education.
  • Commitment to raising achievement and driving standards in teaching and learning.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and innovative lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Experience of working within a team and collaborating with colleagues.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching across key stages.
  • Experience with maths-specific teaching strategies and resources.
  • Experience of working in an academy or multi-academy trust setting.
  • Experience of leading or contributing to curriculum development.
