Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that promote student attainment and enthusiasm for the subject.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to support student progress and wellbeing.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities and trips that enhance the learning experience.
- Collaborate with the Maths department to share resources, ideas, and best practices.
- Stay up to date with the evolving Maths curriculum and incorporate innovative teaching methods into your practice.
- Support the school’s mission and values by contributing to a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
- Work closely with the school’s specialist teams to ensure a balanced workload and focus on teaching and pastoral care.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching Maths at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver dynamic, engaging lessons.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching and learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
- Experience with digital learning platforms and technologies.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles within a department.
- Experience with extracurricular activities or community engagement initiatives.
