Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that promote student attainment and enthusiasm for the subject.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to support student progress and wellbeing.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities and trips that enhance the learning experience.
  • Collaborate with the Maths department to share resources, ideas, and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with the evolving Maths curriculum and incorporate innovative teaching methods into your practice.
  • Support the school’s mission and values by contributing to a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
  • Work closely with the school’s specialist teams to ensure a balanced workload and focus on teaching and pastoral care.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver dynamic, engaging lessons.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Experience with digital learning platforms and technologies.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership roles within a department.
  • Experience with extracurricular activities or community engagement initiatives.
