Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
- Develop and implement schemes of learning that meet the needs of all learners
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and improve teaching and learning
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly to support individual development
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Maths curriculum
- Stay up to date with developments in Maths education and incorporate new teaching strategies
- Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and targeted interventions
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status with a degree in a related discipline
- Experience of teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4
- A genuine passion for Maths and a belief in the potential of every student
- Ability to think strategically about classroom practice and tailor lessons to students’ needs
- Commitment to setting high expectations and being a positive role model
Preferred
- Experience of teaching Maths at Key Stage 5
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment practice
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with continuous professional development (CPD)
