The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Maths Teacher to join our school on a maternity cover basis. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while working in a school that values innovation, excellence, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Support students in developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and their real-world applications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement effective teaching strategies and curriculum resources.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Participate in the school’s professional development and induction programmes to ensure continuous growth.
- Contribute to a positive school culture by promoting the school’s values and mission.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and achievement.
- Lead and manage classroom activities with a focus on student engagement and discipline.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience in teaching Mathematics at the appropriate level
- Commitment to high academic standards and student success
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Preferred
- Experience with supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL)
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation
- Experience with pastoral care and student support
