The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Maths Teacher to join our school on a maternity cover basis. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while working in a school that values innovation, excellence, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Support students in developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and their real-world applications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement effective teaching strategies and curriculum resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Participate in the school’s professional development and induction programmes to ensure continuous growth.
  • Contribute to a positive school culture by promoting the school’s values and mission.
  • Engage with parents and the wider community to support student learning and achievement.
  • Lead and manage classroom activities with a focus on student engagement and discipline.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in teaching Mathematics at the appropriate level
  • Commitment to high academic standards and student success
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team

Preferred

  • Experience with supporting students with diverse learning needs
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL)
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support
