Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English Language and English Literature to pupils of all abilities across the school.
- Deliver engaging and stimulating lessons that inspire a love of learning and critical thinking.
- Contribute to the development of the curriculum and participate in the school’s extensive extra-curricular programme.
- Support students in their academic and personal development through pastoral care and mentorship.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve teaching and learning.
- Be open to teaching an additional subject such as Politics, Theology / Ethics / Philosophy or RS.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to teach English Language and English Literature.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
- Willingness to take on a full role within the school community.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching additional subjects such as Politics, Theology / Ethics / Philosophy or RS.
- Experience working with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
- Background in extra-curricular leadership or involvement.
- Experience with teaching English as a second language.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
